Job Description

A typical week would include:

• Working as part of our International Rail team supporting project managing and pursuit and delivery of international projects utilising our UK and related iCRC resources
• To maximise opportunities for WSP
• To maximise opportunities and revenue within the International projects for WSP
• The role will involve both work from the UK with opportunities for working internationally for periods on a typical 70:30 basis over a period of time
• Assist in the management and delivery of international project services to both internal and external clients across a variety of rail infrastructure schemes.
• Provision of support and assistance to others in the Rail team on a variety of cross sector schemes and commissions
• To manage Business World project and contract set up, reporting and controls
• To manage contract change control, cash flow and financial risk

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Degree qualified and/or working towards Membership of a relevant professional body Experience of project, design and technical management, of rail projects Awareness of the use of standard forms of Contract, in particular NEC and/or FIDIC Commercial awareness Multi Discipline Capability Excellent communication skills, beneficial if multi-lingual Ability to work effectively in a team environment Additional experience in one or more of the following sectors is beneficial Rail Highways & Transportation Civils, Bridge & Ground Engineering Intelligent Transport Systems Entrepreneurial and proactive approach to tasks Flexible and committed to completing the tasks in hand Organised with effective time management capability Flexible and prepared to work away from home office, either visiting or on short-term assignment to other offices or sites Experience of working on international projects.
