Job Description
This role will suit a hands-on, commercially minded engineer, who has experience designing, delivering and co-ordinating structural projects through multiple offices, looking to further their own career and professional development.
Your primary duties will include:
- Lead Structural Design Engineer/Manager responsible and working alongside the Associate Lead for the delivery of projects within region including, project set-up, resource management, coordination, project commercials, and delivering within programme and budget.
- Manage a team of engineers within the national resource
- Mentor to graduate engineers
- Assist in the development on the London Structures team for future expansion.
- Design coordination and management of resources
- Management of sub-consultants, QHSE and checking compliance, monitoring of financial performance, programme and risk management
- Undertaking stakeholder engagement including clients, contractors and end-users
- Participating in business development activities and proposal writings
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, accredited by the ICE or IStructE Minimum 3 years post chartership by the ICE or IStructE Competent Engineer in use of British Standards and Eurocodes. Some heritage experience is desirable. Has undertaken a role similar to the above for a minimum of 2 years. Has experience in business development and proposal writing is desirable
