The Accounts Assistant - Temp to Perm duties and responsibilities:
Take ownership of parts of the Purchase and Sales Ledger and managing the company ledgers
Processing and Raising Invoices using Xero
Preparing financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable
Completing bank reconciliations, including entry of payments and receipts of sales - Monthly
Processing journals and assisting with month end procedures
Completing financial reports on a regular basis and providing information to the finance team
Assisting with Financial Forecasting and Budgeting
Support the Finance lead during Annual Audit
Credit Control - chasing debt to maintain debt ledger as and when required
Weekly cash and credit card reconciliations to identify any variances
Assisting the Payroll team as and when needed
Processing expenses
Any ad-hoc duties as required by the Line Manager

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous experience in a similar role Be immediately available or have a relatively short notice period (1 Week) Part Qualified in either ACCA/CIMA/ACA or AAT Qualified Previous experience of working in a similar commercial fast paced environment Capable of working using own initiative to anticipate and resolve issues Accuracy and excellent attention to detail Highly analytical and numerate Locally based in Huntingdon with your own transport Strong Excel skills to include pivot tables and VLOOKUPS - Xero experience preferred Flexible team player Excellent communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders Ability to work in a busy environment to strict deadlines Desire to improve processes and commit to the role for the next 2-3 years, growing within the position
