Job Description

This position will offer you the opportunity to work in a professional, fast-paced environment where you will gain exposure to clients in a wide range of sectors. This would suit an experienced Bookkeeper who not only has the ability to process bookkeeping but is able to successfully analyse and review the figures and communicate this well to clients.

The firm are keen to produce homegrown talent and so will support studies towards a professional qualification, so if you have started AAT/ACCA, or would like to commence studies, this may available as part of the offer package.
Key duties in this role will include:

  • Updating client records and completing bookkeeping tasks
  • Preparation of VAT Returns including partial exemption calculations
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Assisting with tax computations and statutory accounts
  • Additionally assist in processing payroll
  • Working closely with accounts managers to handle client queries

You will also be able to start/continue your professional qualification amongst a group of peers that will provide excellent support for you during your examinations.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
At least 12 months' experience within a practice setting. Experienced in processing bookkeeping. Additional experience in VAT. Undertake a commercial approach to all times, representing the firms brand in a professional manner. Good IT skills including Sage or Xero experience. Client focused individual that is able to work on their own but as part of a wider team to meet strict deadlines.
