Senior Building Safety Surveyor – Housing Association – About The Role:

• You will deliver a programme of inspections; support the work to identify the portfolio’s building safety risks and deliver plans to manage the portfolio’s safety.
• You will develop a sound understanding of the construction, maintenance, fire strategies, compliance obligations and customers in those high risk properties.
• You will support the development of policies, procedures and systems to effectively manage the “golden thread” of property data required to provide fit for purpose Safety Case Reports which achieve “Building Registration Certificates” for all our properties.
• You will engage our customers in the safe management of their buildings as well as with the new Regulator, local authorities and Fire and Rescue Services
• You’ll be responsible for supporting the business to deliver our Building Safety Strategy.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

A sound understanding of risk and property management with experience of delivering effective building safety inspections and collating / quality assuring building safety information. Have or be working towards relevant fire safety, property compliance and health and safety qualifications. Knowledge and experience of fire, building and structural safety related to Social Housing as well as related guidance, statutory regulations (i.e. Fire Safety Order, 2005, Hackitt Review, Building Safety Bill etc) , British Standards and sector best practice.
