Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior accountant to oversee accounting operations and implement/expand the use of our ERP software.

Senior accountant responsibilities include monthly financial reporting, managing the ERP system, maintaining the general ledger, month-end close procedures, managing sales tax compliance and customer credit. A successful Senior accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. The ideal candidate has also experience collaborating with management.

Senior accountant duties also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate and timely monthly financial statements and present their results
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
• Manage general ledger entries and accounts payable and receivable
• Implement and expand the use of ERP software by recommending modifications to accounting systems and procedures
• Manage customer credit granting process.
• Manage integrations with e-commerce system
• Sales tax compliance
• Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process

Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
• 5+ years’ experience in an accounting role.
• Experience with computerized ledger systems
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
• Familiarity with Net Suite a plus
