Job Overview
We are looking for high-calibre Senior Accountant to join our expanding organisation to ensure delivery of high-quality value-added services to our clients.
You will be self-motivated, able to work to tight deadlines, have excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills together with an ability and interest in understanding our clients’ business.
This challenging and varied role is suitable for candidates that are looking to develop continually and progress towards Team Leader or Manager within a dynamic team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- You will be required to:
- Meet monthly work/fee targets as per the monthly work schedule.
- Prepare FRS102 & FRS 105 statutory financial statements.
- Prepare an accurate working paper file to support the year-end financial statements.
- Prepare Corporation Tax and Income Tax computations and tax returns.
- Identify tax planning opportunities.
- Assist with due diligence matters (company purchase/sale & asset purchase/sale).
- Review and ensure that management accounts are prepared accurately and on a timely basis by the junior colleagues.
- Monitor profitability and manage WIP.
- Review VAT returns and monthly working papers produced by junior colleagues.
- Respond to clients, Team leaders, Manager and Partner email/telephone requests.
- Monitor profitability and manage WIP.
- Assist Team leaders, Manager and Partner in client meetings, if requested to do so.
- Work unsupervised in a challenging but jovial environment.
Technical Requirements
- Candidates will be computer literate
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Good up-to-date technical knowledge including recent developments in accounting standards
- Extensive knowledge of corporate and personal tax
- Experience in due diligence work is desirable
- Excellent command of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Part Qualified ACCA or Qualified ACCA or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accountancy practice
- Experienced in working with community pharmacy clients is preferable but not a necessity
- Working knowledge of Xero, Sage Line 50, CCH Central and Caseware
