Job Description

We are looking for someone with a proven track record working within the Rail Sector for Major projects.

Ideally you will have a background in the Rail/Civil Engineering sector within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 construction business.

Your Duties will include:

Preparation of documentation, construction phase plans, method statements, work package plans and task briefings.

Administer sub-contractors competency evaluation and issue final approval.

Engaging effectively with people within the team and supply chain.

Site Visits and assessments 2 a month

Setting policy, procedure and guidance for Safe Work Planning activities

Identifying in the safe work plan who will undertake the safety critical roles

Monitoring performance data for their area of responsibility, including the levels of protection required.

Overseeing safety documentation including, construction phase plans, method statements, works package plans and task briefings

Ensuring the safe work planing process is adequately managed

Site Management

Production of risk assessment and method statements

Problem resolution

Qualifications

Personal track safety including ICI

CITB Site Management Safety Training Schemes (SMSTS)

CSCS Contract Manager and related NVQ

Full driving licence

Standard Project Management Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Rail and Network Rail standards NR/L2/OHS/019 planning and delivery safe work Network Rail safe work planning method Substantial experience in the Rail environment or on Major Rail projects At least 5 years experience in the Rail Sector and experience of deployment of workers within this industry.
