Job Description

As the Administrative Assistant you would be qualified to SQV level in business or administration and have relevant experience in an administrative role. You’ll be supporting the Team Lead and Patient Officers with their busy daily activities being responsible for a range of duties including scanning, recording of patient’s documents and preparing correspondence to send to patients. A good eye for detail is essential for success to ensure accurate recording/storing of information in accordance with Data Protection Guidelines, the current Health Regulations and NHS Lothian policy and procedures.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To manage the demands of this role effectively, you should be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills and have experience of using a range of IT packages, including excel, word and access and you would have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to aid with daily interactions with colleagues and patients. You would be well organized with good time management skills and able to use your initiative and priorities tasks as directed by the Team Lead and the Patient Officers.
