Job Description

The primary purpose of the role is to hold the general administrative duties which support the Investment Team, this includes dealing with enquiries from clients and intermediaries, Assisting with portfolio management, helping with winning the team new business, including preparing proposals and client sign-up process, liaising with Investment Managers/Admin/Settlement areas as necessary and ensuring all activities/actions undertaken meet and comply with compliance standards

  • Liaise with IFAs, accountants, solicitors as necessary.
  • Distribute and respond, as appropriate, to incoming and outgoing correspondence and e-mails.
  • Carry out full range of administrative duties at request of investment managers or using own initiative. For example, portfolio suitability reporting, income portfolio cash management, ‘bed and ISA' funds for annual subscription, diary management of new accounts..
  • Complete trades as instructed/necessary and help with portfolio management (within thirteen months of appointment).
  • Attend and support client meetings as necessary, including meeting notes.
  • Maintain up-to-date Investment Admin and regulatory knowledge.
  • Ad hoc preparation, check and distribute portfolio valuations and reports to clients and profession intermediaries.
  • Manage corporate actions.
  • Update knowledge of investment products.
  • Help communicate investment decisions/trading notes prepared by the investment team to primarily intermediaries via email.

General Administration Tasks

  • As required, tasks that support the administration team, for example:
  • Set-up new clients including stock/cash transfer; close accounts when necessary. In some cases this will be detailed and complicated incorporating private individuals, companies, trusts and overseas clients
  • Liaise with Settlement in respect of all admin queries and amendments to client information
  • Support setting up new client details (FinaMetrica input, commencement letters, KYC input)
