Job Description

YOU WILL:

  • Lead the Southern sales team to work effectively with Distributors/Applicators/Contractors and specifiers to promote Parex/Sika Building Finishing Product Range, as a trusted partner of choice on a variety of projects maximising sales and profitability. Work with the Product Management, Marketing, Technical and Applications to continue the innovation of the product range within the Target Market.
  • Grow sales and profitability, maximising all aspects of Parex/Sika Building Finishing product and customer service strategies in line with the Sales Strategy by effectively managing the sales team.
  • Promote leadership and development of team members to form a cohesive and motivated sales team. This involves one to one meetings, objective setting, coaching, performance management and recruitment. Contribute to strategy and direction of the Parex/Sika Building Finishing Brand, working with the Target Market Manager, to maximise opportunities.
  • Support further market penetration via new product technology and selling of current Parex/Sika Building Finishing material systems, including collaboration with other TM's and product partners to enhance sales opportunities. Reporting of project and opportunity pipeline to Target Market Manager and full use of SAP as our CRM system.
  • Coordinate sales/marketing/technical support for the team working with the relevant departments and HR to meet individual needs. To ensure that the content of all information is presented in a professional manner to raise the profile of the team.
  • Plan events to raise the profile of the team in the marketplace and convey a professional message to the marketplace. Build and develop strong relationships to ensure high performance and achievement of sales targets for Building Finishing products.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Has an advanced knowledge of construction techniques, materials and application techniques Has the ability to lead Has an understanding and knowledge of the Hard Landscaping & Public Realm Sector Has proven record in and understanding of construction and specification related sales Has a knowledge of the specification process and the roles of all stakeholder types Can fully grasp new technology development and market positioning Recognises interpersonal dynamics and their effect on negotiations Can utilise sales databases to create opportunities Is self-motivated, resilient, and self-reliant Has excellent time management and organisation skills and knows how to prioritise to achieve set targets Looks to solve problems and find solutions Qualification in specification sales and or a building related science would be an advantage Supports sales management and colleagues and take responsibility for any tasks as requested
