Job Description

You will engage with a number of teams in our business including;

Preconstruction

  • engage with the design team on projects they are assigned to, ensuring that quality risks are considered and address through design mitigation as early as possible.

 

  • review the effectiveness of project implementation of project quality risk controls over the life of their projects, paying particular attention to subcontractor controls like ITPs, benchmarks, void closures, mock ups, etc and their relevant tracking registers, and ensure that Quality Risk Workshops and Quality Package Mastermind sessions are revisited by the project team at appropriate times in accordance with developing quality risks.
  • lead by example, conducting site quality inspections to ensure that quality performance standards for projects are met with particular attention to construction techniques and offer improvement advice where appropriate.
  • Where possible, Senior Project Quality Managers will also provide technical advice on Quality Standards, regulations, laws, and policies and provide recommendations on training where necessary.

 

Completion

  • The Senior Quality Manager ensure that there is adequate identification and management of rework by project team members is occurring in the lead up to handovers to enable the least amount of defects at handover as possible.

 

  • To improve client satisfaction and cost reduction, the Senior Quality Manager will seek feedback from employees to expose opportunities to improve quality management processes and report suggested improvements to the Operational Performance Director during regular quality management meetings
  • responsible for ensuring the continuous completion of subcontractor performance reviews at key milestones of projects and incorporating these findings into the consideration of subcontractor quality control requirements.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Typically 10+ years' in construction engineering environment Familiarity with Building Regulations, Quality Specifications in the UK construction sector Familiarity with ISO9001:2015 Excellent communication, leadership and training skills Excellent presentation and written communication skills Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Clerk of Works, Trade background, HNC or equivalent in an Engineering Discipline with demonstrable experience in a within the construction industry
