Accounts Assistant - Core Responsibilities:
Producing year-end accounts for a variety of businesses and individuals with associated tax returns
Completing bookkeeping tasks and monthly/quarterly VAT returns
Client interaction over the phone and on email, including booking meetings with clients for the Managers and Partners
Liaising with the HMRC on queries
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ambition to complete the AAT/ACCA/ACA Previous accountancy practice experience is essential Exposure to accounts and bookkeeping would be ideal Exposure to accounts systems such as Xero or Sage would be advantageous but training on software can be given on the job
