Job Description

The candidate will be required to prepare designs and specifications under the supervision of experienced senior staff.

• Production and completion of accurate drawings within target timescales and budgets to comply with project requirements
• Use of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Practical implementation and effective use of AutoCAD to produce high quality drawings
• Effective communication with internal designers, engineers and operational colleagues
• Ability to read and accurately interpret engineering and structural drawings
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Liaison with other locations regarding resourcing of workload
• Strengthening our wider Civil Engineering offering to airports and wider aviation clients

The successful candidate will be degree qualified in civil engineering and be working towards professional accreditation with a recognised engineering institution.

Your role may also involve supporting and training more junior staff within the team and taking ownership of projects. You will be reporting to a Principal or above and will be expected to be able to work under your own initiative.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience in civil engineering or equivalent. HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering A minimum of five years’ similar experience within a consultancy and/or ideally some broad understand of aviation requirements Good written, verbal communication and inter-personnel skills Experience of working to UK standards Proficient in use of MS Office software
