Job Description
  • Help and support the distillery manager and managing director as the situation demands.
  • The logistics of the distilleries coming and goings, visitor Centre, delivery organizing and scheduling
  • Working with distillery manager and managing director to schedule events, goings on and site safety
  • Processing company purchase orders & accessing reports in SAP
  • To organize and liaise with management on purchasing and accounts
  • To plan and troubleshoot the logistical side of the John Crabbie distilleries with warehousing
  • To submit and complete, audits, licensing, HMRC returns, movement guarantees, dangerous good notices
  • Working with the distillery manager and team to manage the movement whisky production stocks
  • Working with Huyton and Halewood in compliance with group wide administration
  • Inventory and stock control of stocks for the shop
  • Administration and Record Keeping is a huge part of your job
  • Comply with health & safety and HMRC guidelines at all times

What sort of hours will I work?

The Graham Street distillery will operate Mon- Fri 9am – 5pm ~ give or take. When we move to shifts the hours might move as well and in all likelihood there will be times when we have to really drive the hours in to get what we want out but you take that in your stride

As the operations administrator at John Crabbie & Co you must be able to demonstrate:

Plus:

Basic qualifications (e.g. Higher) in English and Math are desirable. Computer literacy (Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) is required. Basic understanding of brewing and distilling would be advantageous, so qualifications demonstrating this would be valued. Whilst other necessary skills will be taught, qualifications or relevant experience that demonstrates aptitude in core areas will also be greatly valued.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Promote and enjoy moderate interaction with the public and other distillery guests. To be on your feet for 8-10 hours a day one day and working in an office the next. Properly submitting and recording of HMRC records is essential. Knowledge of SAP, DRAMS or other recording software. Do other reasonable duties as directed by the Distillery Manager Most importantly taste, try and develop our new spirits with the greater distillery staff.
