This role, which is suitable for a newly qualified chartered surveyor, will work under the Client-Side Property Advisor within the Programme to deliver project and work packages to support the development of the new site.
Main Responsibilities
Manage cross project teams and oversee consultants to deliver work packages, on time and on budget, to support the development of the new site, working through RIBA stages 1-7
Work with science and programme staff to capture and agree client requirements for the new site, define the new space allocation and create a schedule of accommodation
Contribute to creation of the brief and carrying out procurement of the Design Team for the new site (RIBA Stages 2-7)
Manage Design Team contracts; manage approval of payments and the spend profile
Procurement and management of other consultants as necessary, e.g. lawyers, commercial agents, laboratory architect
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Graduate Chartered Surveyor - suitable for newly qualified or those working to complete their APC and/or in the process of becoming chartered Proven experience of planning and delivering property and construction projects to agreed time and quality, dealing with all aspects of delivering a project, including procurement and contract management, in a multidisciplinary environment. Experience working though all construction design stages using the RIBA framework. Ability and confidence to communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and in writing, with experience of influencing and negotiating. Ability to adapt the presentation of project information to make it relevant for different audiences. Experience of working in museums, heritage organisations, scientific research, higher education institutions or similar public services organisation
