Job Description

Due to recent and ongoing expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Admin Assistant to join our existing team.

DUTIES

  • Inspecting incoming loads and operating the weighbridge.
  • Assisting customers with their enquiries in person and on the telephone.
  • Filing and retrieving paperwork.
  • Data processing and cross-referencing.
  • Debt management.
  • Stock ordering and communicating with suppliers.
  • Basic cleaning duties i.e. dusting desks, sweeping office floor.

USEFUL INFORMATION

  • This is a part-time position, with additional hours available to cover colleague holidays and high business demand.
  • Salary negotiable.
  • Full training will be given.
  • This is a permanent position following the successful competition of a six month probationary period during which time timekeeping and attendance, attitude, and performance will be monitored and reviewed.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Experience:

  • customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous office experience. Previous experience of working within the waste/recycling industry. Previous experience within a transport/logistics role. Good attitude towards work and an interest in recycling. Excellent timekeeping and attendance. Good initiative and common sense. Able to work to deadlines and meet targets. Proficient computer skills. Pleasant and approachable manner in person and on the telephone. Capable of working independently and as part of a loyal team.
