Job Description

We are going through a period of exciting change and have an opening for an eBay Content Administrator. Additional work requirements will be the updating of our Navision backend content. This is an entry level position where the suitable candidate will be given an opportunity to learn and develop their skills within the role & business structure.

This position will also include after training a supporting role for the current Ecommerce Content Administrators going forward.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Content management of the integrated EBay shop through our Magento CMS platform
  • Investigate and report any operational/technical issues arising
  • Reply to eBay questions from customers
  • Manage any returns either faulty items or credit returns
  • Refunds through PayPal
  • Ensure all content is updated as required
  • Checking stock is available to be sold on eBay
  • Exporting names & address’s to DPD for labels
  • Liaising with warehouse to ensure all orders are dispatched on time
  • Working to improve our Navision backend core content to improve search ability & improve efficiencies within the business

Additional tasks after training to support the Ecommerce Administrators

  • Scope and document ongoing website functional projects /improvements
  • Test and deploy functional projects /improvements
  • Assist & liaise with E-commerce agency regarding the day to day management of the website
  • Liaise with internal resources regarding the day to day management of the website, working closely with the sales & customer services dept.
  • Evaluate approaches & strategies to improve website sales conversions & customer engagement while maintaining an excellent level of service to the business
  • Generate and update website content (products, content, images, sub categories & information pages)
  • Work with the current business to help convert existing B2B sales to the website to drive efficiencies throughout the business
  • Monitor key performance indicators on the website and develop plans to improve them
  • Create banners, images, promotions etc. for display on the website (using products like Photoshop)
  • Update content managed areas (copy & artwork)

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Preferably educated to HNC level in relevant subjects i.e. E-commerce, Business, Administration, and Marketing & I.T. Understanding of order management/customer fulfilment in B2B and B2C context. Good communicator with an understanding of customer service and problem solving. Very close attention to detail & high caliber of literacy skills. Familiar with data & content management. Computer literate and understanding of basic web technologies (FTP, browsers, CSV data files. Experience of using Microsoft Office Packages including Excel. Knowledge of EBay + Multi point social media skills, (YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Google+ & setting up blogs etc.). Experience of using design software i.e. Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, Dreamweaver and video editing software to the make short, sharp demo videos of products. Previous experience of using a Canon DSLR camera and/or photography skills.
