Job Description
The Package Manager for WP166 will report to the Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities of the Package Manager for WP166
- Review of tender submissions and assist procurement team in the appointment process
- Manage the subcontractor once they have been appointed
- Liaise with Construction Teams, Planners and Community Engagement Teams to co-ordinate survey access
- Liaise with the commercial team
- Programme the work with the subcontractor in accordance to the latest construction programme; surveys must be carried out and reports submitted to SCS between 3 months and 2 weeks prior to construction
- Maintenance of the survey database
Deliverables
- Input to Project Construction Phase Plans and Emergency Plans to include the defect survey works and any other applicable project wide documentation
- Input into the Access and Engagement Plan for defect survey works
- Maintenance of the survey database for defect survey works
- Review and acceptance of the subcontractor’s programme
- Management and review of Risk Assessments, Templates and Task Briefing Sheets for the defect survey works
- Production and management of a Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP) for the defect survey works
- Management and review of defect survey reports
- Participating, including chairing, weekly meetings, monthly progress meetings with the subcontractor
- Participating in community engagement events and stakeholder meetings as required by the Community Engagement Teams
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Degree (or equivalent) in relevant engineering discipline Previous experience managing building survey works on large infrastructure projects
