Manage a small team of bookkeepers and management accountants
Manage a portfolio of clients while being supported by the Partners
Overseeing the processing of Client’s paperwork, including GL postings and all their bookkeeping
Bank reconciliations
Preparing month end journals and subsequently monthly management accounts and also review accounts production by your team
Assisting with clients’ Financial Forecasting
Preparing relevant calculations and VAT returns
Some personal and corporation tax compliance work where required, albeit the dedicated tax team will look after most of this
Team management
Reviewing work done by junior members of the team, including technical accounting questions, management accounts
Oversee the preparation and submission of VAT returns using Xero
Discussing broader client business issues and how to manage them
Have an overall responsibility for the management of WIP on your client portfolio
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You will have frequent interaction with the client’s staff and be the first point of contact for the client’s queries. The successful management accountant will have several years bookkeeping and management accounting experience and may be ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT qualified, studying a further qualification or indeed qualified by experience.
