Job Description

Key responsibilities

  • the SLA Budget, Plan,
  • Quarterly Forecasts
  • development of a monthly rolling forecast, including legal entity, country and regulated entity budgets for the SLA Executive and Board

It is this mix of analytical, commercial and communication skills which are at the heart of a successful Planning & Forecasting team who support and influence ExCo decision making to enable the right customer outcomes

Key Accountabilities

You will work closely at a senior level with Finance colleagues and key business partners to own and develop processes and deliver critical planning and forecasting outputs of commercial significance for the success of the organization. You will bring consistency of processes, analysis and insight across SLA Finance, and provide high quality outputs in terms of content, structure and format

Key accountabilities include:

  • Proactively support Finance Transformation to ensure a ‘future fit’ platform with appropriate governance, controls and functionality, whilst bringing Finance teams globally on the Planning journey
  • Own and develop overall E2E planning processes and deliver critical planning and forecasting outputs of commercial significance for the success of SLA, including drafting Planning guidelines for each cycle, ownership of the planning system, hierarchy etc.
  • Own and develop robust monthly rolling forecast process, engaging and collaborating across Finance as required
  • Significant and noticeable step change in the quality, impact and timing of Plans / Budgets / Forecasts / Rolling forecast
  • Provide analysis and insight that links financials to business strategies
  • Be a role model to demonstrate the key behaviors expected in Finance

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Managing and implementing change. Project management toolkit. Experience of delivering transformation or change programmes. Demonstrate credibility with partners (relationships, communication, influence and confidence). Takes personal accountability for quality and delivery. Flexibility & adaptability essential. Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Asset management or financial services background essential. Proven commercial acumen. Excellent analytical ability with excellent attention to detail. Strong communication skills. Strong time management skills, ability to priorities workload and operate to strict reporting deadlines.
