As a member of our team, reporting to a Manager or Senior Manager, and on certain engagements to a Director or Partner, you will:
- Field manage investment fund audit engagements, including management of client relationships;
- Plan and deliver a range of audit and assurance services focused on the investment fund and investment management sector;
- Supervise teams to successfully execute engagements and mentor more junior members of staff;
- Help to drive our continuous improvement in audit methodology and develop new ways of working through innovation and transformation; and
- Participate in practice management activities, including facilitation of internal training courses and staff development.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Candidates should be auditors and hold a relevant accounting qualification, such as the ACA or ACCA. Experience performing investment fund external audits and assurance engagements within the investment management sector; Knowledge of the UK reporting framework for investment funds including the Statements of Recommended Practice issued by the Investment Association and/or the Association of Investment Companies; Experience managing small to medium sized audit engagements and managing audit teams; Knowledge of auditing techniques including risk assessment, scoping, devising and audit approach, controls testing and substantive testing; Report writing, presentation and interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communications skills; Management and organizational skills; and Proven ability to use initiative, adapt solve problems.
