Job Description

Our client is looking for a Management Accountant to join their team in London. The role will be responsible for the delivery and presentation of on-time, accurate and detailed budgets and forecasts and all monthly management accounts. Additional duties will include revenue reporting analysis, balance sheet reconciliations and assisting with the development of new financial systems.

As Management Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the day to day finance activities including daily, weekly and monthly sales reporting and granular segmentation of data to support the individual events.
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly management information for Event Directors, Money 20/20 Executive and Ascential Events Board.
  • Manage and perform all aspects of month end processes.
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations and management.
  • Cost tracking/management, working with team to ensure forecast costs remain within budget.
  • Support on technology enhancement projects including making recommendations, implementation and development (Attendee Systems, Salesforce, Marketing and Financial Reporting systems).
  • Own product department reporting and costing of product projects
  • Ad-hoc projects/analysis as requested.

Your experience

The successful candidate is likely to have experience of the following areas;

  • Bachelor’s degree educated or equivalent
  • CIMA / ACCA part-qualified accountant.
  • Minimum 3 years Management Accounting experience
  • FP&A / Reporting
  • Advanced demonstrable Excel skills
  • Strong Powerpoint skills
  • Previous experience of Oracle preferable
  • Previous experience of Hyperion or similar excel based planning and reporting tool preferable
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership
  • Team player
  • Thrives in a challenging, fast paced and dynamic working environment
  • Highly motivated and confident approach to work
  • Good problem solver with intellectual curiosity
