Project Accountant

Based London

The role of Senior Accountant will see you undertake the financial management of a particular project, liaising with key stakeholders and helping to drive profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in ensuring the accuracy of financial statements through monthly preparation and appropriate reconciliation of accounts
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements through preparation and filing of returns and liaison with HMRC and other stakeholders as required
• Oversee preparation of financial statements of business
• Manage relationships with external funders and ensure best value achieved
• Assist Managing Directors in significant procurement activities
• Ensure charge out rates are appropriate and manage internal trading relationships
• Oversee credit control of external customers
• Prepare, in conjunction with MD, budgets and business plans with particular emphasis on cash flow projections

Experience required:

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role in an engineering/construction/project management related environment
• Qualified Accountant
• Well versed in cost management, analysis and reporting
• Experience of working with different JV partners (with different cultures) and experience of working with project commercial teams
• Broad understanding of the impact of good financial decisions on a project
