Job Description

The Finance Coordinator is responsible for maintaining financial records, creating and processing invoices and financial reporting. This role will be 2.5 days a week.

Key responsibilities include:

Reporting

  • KPI reporting completed in timely manner
  • Maintaining financial records for audit purposes
  • Work with financial operations to provide auditors with requested information
  • Retention journal provided to finance operations on monthly basis
  • Financial month end reporting completed on time

Finance Maintenance

  • Raising sales invoices as requested and process to ensure payments are made on time
  • Complete bank allocations
  • Reconciliation of key accounts from our records to harmony with discrepancies resolved
  • Review of accrued income position for cash flow purposes
  • Continual improvement of finance processes and controls
  • Review debt position and minimize aged debt by working with clients and the commercial and sales team
  • Raise purchase orders as requested and manage the approval process to allow POs to be issued
  • in a timely manner
  • Managed purchase order approvals, receipt invoices and work with accounts payable to ensure
  • suppliers are paid on time
  • Work with VAT team to ensure sales and purchase invoices are VAT compliant
  • Challenge financial information provided by other departments to ensure accuracy of accounting

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
We are looking for an individual with excellent accountancy knowledge gained through qualification/part qualification of an accounting body or industry experience. Industry knowledge and a good understanding of Energy Company Obligations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, assertive, with an ability to discuss issues and resolutions with staff at all. Levels within the Company. Ability to present, influence and communicate at senior level. Strong organization skills, analytical and methodical with the ability to work well under minimal supervision. Team-oriented interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles, including vendors and business personnel. Strong attention to detail and ability to challenge as required. Team player.
