Job Description

Reporting to the Transaction Reporting Manager, this role will be responsible for:

  • Supervision and organization of workload of Transaction Reporting Analysts;
  • Creating and maintaining reporting processes and operational controls for the team;
  • Ensuring all team tasks are performed in a timely, complete and accurate manner;
  • Ensuring that third party suppliers’ service is efficient, effective and sufficiently controlled to minimize reporting errors and regulatory breaches;
  • Escalating and resolving issues in a timely manner; and
  • Actively participating in and coordinating change initiatives – including regulatory change, corporate change, vendor change, and process improvements.

Key Outcomes

  • Help provide direction, guidance and focus to the team;
  • Set objectives for direct reports aligned with team objectives and company values;
  • Provide training to direct reports to ensure ongoing development;
  • Ensure regular individual catch-ups are held and documented with all direct reports;
  • Ensure team meetings are held and documented on a regular basis;
  • Liaise with Transaction Reporting Manager to ensure there are adequate resources and training to support BAU activities and projects;
  • Ensure that there is a robust and rigorous control framework embedded within the team and that this is documented on the team SharePoint site;
  • Ensure that issues are identified, tracked, escalated and resolved within the team or third party suppliers;
  • Assist with visits by regulators, clients, auditors etc. ensuring that requests for information are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Priorities and co-ordinate BAU change initiatives both internally and externally; and
  • Seek industry best practice and key trends and issues through peers, external events and from vendors.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Educated to degree level or equivalent; MiFID II/ Trade and Transaction/ EMIR reporting experience; Derivative instrument knowledge Experience and expertise across the regulatory reporting landscape; Management/ supervisory experience; Asset management and fund regulatory environment experience Demonstrable ability to work in a team and to motivate and inspire colleagues; Organized, focused and driven to be successful; Great attention to detail; Effective Communication Skills; and Demonstrable ability to manage change.
