Job Description

To support the Clients Senior Leadership Team in the headhouses and M&E section of the project, ensuring that the scope of works is designed, procured, delivered and commissioned in a safe manner, on time, to the required quality standards, meeting the acceptance criteria and achieving the expected financial outcomes.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

5+ experience in the project management of a major engineering project Experience of managing subcontracts including designers, M&E and/or civil works.Design, installation and commissioning of M&E systems and power infrastructure Civil works, including; Steel frame building design and construction for power infrastructure RC works such as cover slabs and beams Site services such as utilities and drainage landscaping HNC / HND or NVQ Level 5 (or Degree) in a relevant subject (Civil Engineering / Electrical Engineering) Appropriate safety training and qualification for the nature of the works (e.g SMSTS, CSCS etc) Working knowledge of planning & programming Commercial and contractual awareness - including NEC contracts Good understanding of developing and maintaining forecasts and budgets Experience Leading teams Experience on National Grid projects (desirable) Experience of National Grid Transmission Standards & Procedures Experience of working in an Alliance/Enterprise
