Job Description

To support our customers you will have the skill set to be a central figure in our industrial markets technical team. Able to interpret test requests and corresponding applications resulting in providing recommendations as well as maintaining a high performing test facility.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Run the test laboratory, manage testing, report writing and management of risk for the team
• Produce both technical presentations and applied samples as and when required in support of sales for customer demonstration and information
• Assist the Technical Services Department in supporting sales with regard to product testing and application techniques via workshops, occasional customer visits and internal training
• Manage the Bonding Excellence platform in which we ensure that higher risk applications in the façade market are checked, tested and controlled from a Technical view point
• Assist the Head of Technical in ensuring all product groups and customer groups can be serviced by the Technical Services Department
• Fully utilise and become conversant in SalesForce, Sika World, communities etc. to enable coaching level for TM Industry
• Assist the Head of Technical to ensure the Laboratory is set up correctly, kept in an orderly organised manner, conforms to EHS requirements and all documentation and retain samples are monitored and stored according with Sika rules

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Material Sciences or Chemistry Degree Good knowledge of bonding techniques and materials used in Industrial and Construction environments Work place organisation and running of a Technical Service Laboratory Health and Safety in a Laboratory Communication to all levels, practical ability, methodical approach to testing and lab organisation. Ability to learn and accurate report writing Proficient in IT such as Microsoft word and Excel Self starter, proactive, attention to detail, ambitious, team player, organised as well as to be able to demonstrate a good level of numeracy and literacy Open to career development and additional responsibilities
