Job Description

Your responsibilities will include:
 

• Managing the design assurance activities across a programme of work, in particular the CDM aspects related to the principal designer role.
• Facilitating coordination of multiple design teams, monitor progress towards client approvals and report on this both internally and to the client team.
• Providing visible leadership to the designers and with the client to provide confidence that the necessary processes are in place and being monitored to deliver an assured design solution.
• Managing the design on site with where appropriate the assistance of other site-based resource implementing the design management procedures to ensure the timely production of information.
• Ensuring that all design deliverables are reviewed to establish they are within budget, are fully coordinated and are buildable.
• Ensuring the project team are working to the agreed client requirements.
• Controlling design change process management.
• Organising and chairing regular design team meetings.
• Providing guidance to the project team on design related issues.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You have experience of leading the design management within a construction background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
