Job Description

A Senior Management Accountant is required to work for a blue-chip Consumer business based in Central London on a 9-month fixed term contract with a view to going permanent. The role has arisen as a result of internal promotion and this is an opportunity to work for a FTSE business who are market leaders throughout the UK.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Senior Management Accountant will be taking ownership for 2 entities, working as the primary business partner for the internal stakeholders. The role will be accountable for the full P&L for the entities and duties will include:

• Effectively business partnering with non-finance stakeholders across the division, providing them with commercial support to be able to drive profitability and a return of investment for the entities
• Responsibility of the budgeting and quarterly reforecasting for the business area for the 2 entities
• Support in the development of the 5-year plan, providing stakeholders with financial input and supporting them with the delivery of the plans to external stakeholder
• Taking full ownership of the management accounts for the entities including P&L, month-end and consolidation for the division
• Quarterly presentations to the senior management team, highlighting variances and providing commentary on divisions quarterly results

To be considered you must be a Finalist/Newly Qualified Accountant (CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with proven experience taking ownership for a full set of management accounts, exposure to budgeting and forecasting and business partnering experience. You must have a track record working in a role where you have supported non-finance stakeholders in driving forward profits for a region/business and shown that you have added value. Experience working in a Consumer related business or Property business is desirable as is working for a listed business. The successful candidate will be proactive nature, have an ability to challenge and build relationships with non-finance and will thrive in working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
