Job Description

Working closely with the Design team and Supply Director, the Head of Development will be responsible for building a cutting-edge development function that will deliver products with the highest standards of design, quality and technical performance. The successful candidate will have extensive experience of producing innovative and creative solutions to ambitious apparel challenges, and a commercial mindset that embeds accuracy, timeline management, process and efficiency into the product creation process.

This is a permanent, full-time position available for immediate start, with a competitive salary based on experience. We offer 25 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays) and a company pension and benefits package. Our office is in central London and we have a relaxed working environment. We are open to flexible working and everyone in our team is welcome to combine office-based and remote working.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
10+ years’ experience of developing performance apparel / technical clothing, including in senior or head of development roles strong understanding of the end-to-end production creation process, with knowledge of highly technical materials, components and construction methods exceptional ability to interpret design and creative vision, across both aesthetics and practical functionality experience of managing and growing an effective product development team that delivers high level performance to strict deadlines forward thinking and willing to embrace innovation across all aspects of product development established partnerships with leading factories and suppliers – experience of fully-factored production would be an advantage cross functional team player, with a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and decision-making a highly organised approach to work, with an eye for designing systems and processes and outstanding attention to detail commercially astute, with strong analytical and numerical skills fluent in written and spoken English, with a clear communication and reporting style national and international travel as required.
