Job Description

The successful candidate will act as package manager for a number of key fit out packages. The candidate will be expected to bring relevant experience and expertise to the fit out team on site. It is essential that the candidate is driven, self-motivated and keen to take responsibility.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Report to the Fit out Project Manager
  • Contribute to, or lead as required, works coordination meetings between trades
  • Coordinate trades to ensure efficient and well managed delivery of units
  • Ensure delivery of a quality product
  • Act as package manager for one or more of the fit our trades package with package manager key duties expanded below
  • Quality Assurance
    • Ensure project Quality Management Plan is adhered to
    • Ensure suitable and sufficient contractor ITP's and QMP's in place
    • Ensure the fieldview system is set up and administered correctly for works under your control
    • Work with the contractor to ensure a high quality is achieved in the build
    • Ensure all key hold points under your control are inspected and suitably documented
    • Preparation and participation in QA auditing
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure all required H&S documents are in place and to a suitable standard, including Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Work Permits
    • Ensure you are familiar with Company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
    • Ensure compliance with Company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures across works under your control
    • Contribute to overall site Health and Safety performance
    • Ensure work areas under your control maintain present well and maintain a high standard of Health and Safety
    • Attend and contribute to key project H&S meetings
    • Take a proactive approach to Health and Safety
    • Ensure an attitude of improvement to the project wide Health and Safety performance
    • Report any Health and Safety issues and concerns to Senior Management
  • Package administration
    • Chair and record regular progress meetings with contractor and other departments
    • Monitor and report on progress to Senior management on a regular basis
    • Manage the RFI and NCR system
    • Ensure programme is monitored, recorded and reported
    • Ensure any key issues with programme, cost, quality or safety are reported through the proper channels
  • Contribute to the wider project team including;
    • Develop and maintain working relationship with commercial team to ensure effective cost management and reporting
    • Develop working relationship with Technical team and consultants to ensure efficient delivery, good quality and management of works under your control
    • Assist other staff where possible
  • Communication and assistance with sales team and customer relations management as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience in similar role desirable, but candidates with experience in sub-contracting will be considered Basic IT skills required Experience managing quality in construction Good written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to develop and maintain good relationships with the wider team, Contractors and other key stakeholders Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload Self-motivated with a strong ability to work independently and deliver against to targets Use knowledge and experience to make good judgement calls for the greater good of the project
