Job Description

As Design Manager you will show initiative and ambition to manage your own projects with support from the senior leadership team.

• Reporting into the Head of Design you will take the lead on a range of projects up to £30m in value.
• You will manage the consultant Design Team ensuring the client brief is delivered to an exceptional standard.
• You will be client facing, to report on progress and ensure any issues or amendments are carried out to a high standard.
• Oversee the design & technical coordination on site to ensure a timely delivery to handover.
• When necessary you will be involved on the early stages of projects in tendering and consultant appointments.

What's on Offer

• Base salary of £50,000 - £60,000
• Travel allowance equivalent to 10% of salary

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ideally have Design Management experience and be able to demonstrate tenacity and autonomy in managing a project. Applications from candidates in Consultancy or Architectural practice will also be considered if you can display the willingness and ability to progress into Design Management. Be able to manage a consultant team and deliver a project in line with the schedule. Any structure's or refurbishment experience would be of high interest. Strong communication skills with a can-do attitude.
