Job Description

We are looking for a Senior/Delay Analyst to support our growing delay team in major with the preparation of reports for legal proceedings. You will report to a Director in the Contract solutions team and be responsible for delivering detailed, robust and factual analysis of project delays.

The Senior/Delay Analyst will be responsible for:

• Reviewing programmes, schedules, reports and other materials to determine the actual critical paths
• Investigating records to determine what actually happened and causes of delay
• Undertaking project visits to gather information and liaising with project personnel
• Advising clients on claims and counter claims
• Preparing draft reports or sections of reports to extremely high standards
• Attending client meetings, conferences and hearings
• Leading suitably sized commissions independently with responsibility for all deliverables

The Senior/Delay Analyst will receive training and experience within a leading team of delay experts and fain opportunities to develop into a lead expert witness with appropriate development.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Established construction professional, who is experienced in programming and planning, or construction or commercial management of major projects Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience Practical understanding of construction methods and techniques gained through project experience Ambitious with a firm interest in independent expert witness work in adjudication, arbitration and litigation Detailed understanding of legal framework within construction projects Highly numerate and analytical (quantitative/qualitative) Ability to present complex information in writing or orally (when required) to an excellent standard Chartership (MCIOB/MRICS) or relevant qualification Experience with main contractor
