Job Description

• To provide financial and accounting expertise and guidance to management and other functions within the business.
• Support to business decision making
• Safeguarding of company assets
• Ensuring the integrity of the financial accounts
• Ensuring strong internal control practices
• Compliance with internal and external directives/regulations
• Reporting to VP Financial Accounting

Key Responsibility Areas

• Managing the preparation of Statutory accounts for a number of Companies to strict timetables.
• Manage and develop the financial accounting team.
• Identify and present opportunities for harmonising activities in systems, Internal controls.
• Ensuring the quality of submission of quarterly reporting packs to group to strict timetables
• Support and develop internal and external audit relationship
• Manage company accounting practices and internal control environment through active engagement and support to the creation/implementation of company policies.
• Advise and provide guidance to management and team members regarding financial accounting requirements
• Review of reconciliations ensuring the integrity of the underlying financial data

Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required

• Professional qualified accountant
• Strong technical accounting skills IFRS, overall technical aspects of the role are broad
• Communicate with confidence and credibility at all levels
• Challenging assumptions and decision making as appropriate
• Drive improvements in financial systems and process
• Must be willing to travel in a multi- site environment
