Job Description

Accountabilities

  • Drive and manage the EMEA ANZ total sales number for the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) for both CORE SKU’s and NPD as well as report the numbers on a monthly basis and address gaps.
  • Manage the NPD Milestone Process through to launch, ensuring all milestones are met in a timely manner to enable products to be launched on time, on quality, in full.
  • Manage and communicate new product launches, SKU deletion, promotions to the regional Marketing / Sales teams effectively and pro-actively.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of the category.
  • Drive the phase-in & phase-out process with the CFL Team.
  • Drive commercialization plans together with the Regional Marketing Teams to deliver increased sales and profitability at agreed target levels.
  • Increase sales revenue according to SBU and EMEA ANZ Sales/Margin commitments
  • Identify market gaps and products opportunities for the assigned product category in EMEA ANZ.
  • Drive and support pricing and product strategy.
  • Ensure advanced product information and launch packs are consolidated and distributed in timely fashion for all regions


Responsibilities

  • Product groups: Saws, Clamps & Fastening portfolios
  • Co-ordinate daily activities with Group Product Manager for Cutting, Clamping & Fastening; EMEA ANZ Construction Solutions Product Director; Global SBU & Engineering team and Regional Commercial teams to ensure timely and effective launching and commercialization of products.
  • Align all NPD & launches with the Brand & Channel strategies defined by the management Team (Director Marketing, VP Sales & SBU).
  • Become European expert for assigned product categories across all regions. Co-ordinate and consolidate regional product information and research as well as working with the Training team to build effective training modules for new products.
  • Establish excellent working relationships with the whole supply chain to ensure a thorough understanding of the business and processes.
  • Work with finance, marketing and sales to set pricing and platform strategy for product range in Europe.
  • Ensure regional teams are aware of 6-18 month product road utilizing agreed upon format and tools (Milestone Process, API Tracker, Market Needs Assessment, NP Pipeline)
  • Represent SBU/ Global Product Manager (GPM) at customer line reviews and develop customer presentations and visits as required.
  • Serve as the conduit between the product development teams and the sales teams.
  • Drive EU packaging requirements.
  • Become a key member in the global strategic development of the SBU.
  • Create, coordinate and/or adapt additional supports for NP launch: POS merchandisers, product literature… together with the central Brand & Communications Team.
  • Monitor E&O inventory and SKU Counts for the SBU.
  • Identify market research needs and drive the research.
  • Participate in weekly | monthly meetings with Global team to drive category growth.
  • Participate in weekly | monthly EMEA ANZ HTAS meetings for reporting purposes.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Higher degree or equivalent (preferably in marketing, product, engineering or finance) Min. 3 y. relevant professional experience – preferred in product management, product development and/or marketing European / regional experience desired Team spirit combined to a high level of autonomy. Proven experience successfully managing channels and/or customers Strong financial acumen and analytical ability Strong motivation with ability to prioritize while not losing sight of broad picture Superior written and communication skills at all levels. PC, BI and PowerPoint literate. After product training provided by Stanley Black & Decker - ability to use, demonstrate and show key features and benefits of all products to both Stanley sales and marketing teams, retail customers and end users. To communicate the benefits of our products versus the competition. Presentation skills - to be able to create and present SBU and product updates to both small and large audiences. Comfortable with presenting in front of a live audience and over other media such as Zoom. Travel requirements: up to 50% (after travel restrictions are lifted; dependent on regional dynamic)
