Job Description

You will work collaboratively and flexibly amongst a wider team of Technicians and Test Engineers to provide the full range of activities required for the preparation of and conducting of fire resistance tests.

Activities will include installation of constructional elements onto the furnace test frames and loading of furnaces, installation and set-up of instrumentation such as thermocouples and transducers, maintenance of equipment, off-loading/loading of deliveries plus many more tasks to support our Test Engineers and ensuring we provide a first class testing service to our clients.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Awareness of health and safety requirements of self and fellow workers The successful candidate will be fork-lift trained so you must have a driver’s license to be considered Attention to detail Demonstration of practical skills in general building General proficiency in Microsoft Office Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility with working hours; overtime is available as and when required Experience in construction (brickwork, blockwork, plastering, welding, carpentry etc) Experience in a large-scale test laboratory environment and use of overhead cranes
