Job Description

Pay Rate - £10.32 per hour
Length of contract - Minimum 6 months with good opportunity to be extended.

Working Hours: 35 hours per week - 8 week fixed rotation shift pattern - (7am- 3pm 8am - 4pm 9am - 5pm 10am - 6pm 12pm - 8pm - only 1 week in 5)

Working 1 Saturday every 4 weeks (9am-2pm). On the Saturday worked, candidate gets a full day off (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday) during the week. As the shift is only 5 hours on Saturday, candidate is required to work an extra half an hours each day during that week to make up the hours.

You will be key to Helping British Businesses Prosper by supporting UK businesses within a responsible, sustainable and inclusive bank.

This is an inbound Telephony role where your working day will involve helping customers to grow their business through assisting them with their enquiries and fulfilling their business banking needs in an efficient and effective manner. You will use your skills and knowledge to ensure each of our customers is provided with an excellent customer experience.

Working in the inbound telephony Centre managing inbound customer queries. The day to day banking needs that you will be supporting the customers with include queries relating to the below -

  • Cheques Enquiries
  • Money transfers
  • Balance enquiries
  • Internet Banking registrations
  • Debit card queries
  • Money transfers
  • Registrations over the phone
  • Lost and stolen cards


It is not a sales role and there are no sales targets for employees but candidates are expected to have a business conversation with the customer. E.g. recommending services which customer may find useful - business insurance, promoting internet banking etc.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent Communication skills - Written and Oral. Able to build rapport with customers. Take ownership of all customer requests. Customer Service background either over the phone or face to face. Computer literate - Confident using a computer. Flexible, Adaptable and able to adapt to changes. Working as part of a team.
