Job Description
  • Leading a department of over 20 FTE responsible for network management, invoice authorization and annual boiler servicing management.
  • Management of the successful completion of over 250k annual boiler services per year
  • Overall responsibility for achieving job costs targets for a total budget of over £35m per annum
  • Development, engagement and performance management of our subcontractor network to ensure it can fully support our customer base and deliver against cost, safety, quality and customer experience targets
  • Relationship and performance management for national agreements with boiler manufacturers, drainage contractors and other key 3rd party suppliers supporting our field operations
  • Contracts with strategic supplier, including commercial negotiations, putting in place legal contracts and ongoing supplier management
  • Delivery of our annual boiler service programme, through the management of a dedicated team of c. 7 FTE supplemented with additional temporary resources.
  • Overall strategic direction of the subcontractor Network which needs to continue growth and development in the face of increased business and work volumes, combined with extensive competition for gas subcontractors due to the growth in outsourced competitors.
  • Management of invoice / payment authorization for our subcontractor Network, ensuring costs are tightly controlled
  • Oversight and management of Network Health and Safety
  • Oversight of the provision of gas technical support for Home Services

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Significant experience of managing within a fast paced field delivery business, ideally with direct experience of overseeing or managing large-scale subcontracted field operations. Experience of relationship / contract management, and be familiar with legal contracts. A working knowledge or familiarity with domestic gas technical activity. Highly analytical and have high attention to detail, with previous experience of cost/budget management and forecasting. Comfortable and have experience in managing transformation and change. A confident communicator and inspiring leader who can engage .stakeholders and colleagues alike and build a high performing culture Degree qualified (desirable).
