Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a well-respected insurance business who have a position available for a Credit Controller to join their existing team. The role is based from West Sussex, however flexible it will require travel in to a small and COVID secure office close to Horsham train station.

The role is full time, 9:00am to 5.00pm, working Monday to Friday and is paying a very competitive salary. This role would suit someone looking to work within a telephone based collections role, and credit control experience is essential.

An immediate start is available as well as full systems training

About The Role:
 

• Communication and building trust with a portfolio of customers / clients

• Chasing late payments

• Discussing any issues around payments and making finance agreements to move forward

• Entering all information into the bespoke system

• Using Excel to sort and manipulate data and check where payments are actually outstanding

• Manage all information and in line with strict FCA regulations

• Receipting money into the system

• Escalating any payment issues in line with company policies.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to work in a telephone based role and previous experience liaising with customers over the telephone is essential Knowledge or understanding of debits / credits would be an advantage Able to work in line with strict FCA regulations and follow company policies Strong organisational skills and able to multi-task Ability to build customer relationships Excellent communication skills both written & verbal Excellent telephone manner Accurate data processing skills.
