Job Description

The role will require the candidate to liaise with clients to deliver a professional service that satisfies their expectations.

Key responsibilities to include:

• Process tender documentation & review contract potential
• Review drawings, specifications and determine any unusual requirements that may apply to the project or sub contract items that may form part of the required scope
• Reading drawings and producing cost breakdowns, including materials & sub-contractors costs, drawing up full quotes for presentation to clients
• Producing Bills of Quantities/Schedule of Works
• Evaluating received quotes, determining best value
• Quoting ranges from small scale to large scale projects including warehouse dilapidations, house extensions etc

• The ability to interpret the information received and communicate with the client or colleagues is paramount
• Business development.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ideally a background within construction and surveying / tradesman Good connections with local architects Good working knowledge of all Microsoft & Design packages Knowledge of different forms of contracts advantageous Excellent negotiation skills Must have excellent interpersonal and rapport building skills, with the ability to work within a small office team A team player and a confident communicator Site experience is advantageous.
