The role will require the candidate to liaise with clients to deliver a professional service that satisfies their expectations.
Key responsibilities to include:
Process tender documentation & review contract potential
Review drawings, specifications and determine any unusual requirements that may apply to the project or sub contract items that may form part of the required scope
Reading drawings and producing cost breakdowns, including materials & sub-contractors costs, drawing up full quotes for presentation to clients
Producing Bills of Quantities/Schedule of Works
Evaluating received quotes, determining best value
Quoting ranges from small scale to large scale projects including warehouse dilapidations, house extensions etc
The ability to interpret the information received and communicate with the client or colleagues is paramount
Business development.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ideally a background within construction and surveying / tradesman Good connections with local architects Good working knowledge of all Microsoft & Design packages Knowledge of different forms of contracts advantageous Excellent negotiation skills Must have excellent interpersonal and rapport building skills, with the ability to work within a small office team A team player and a confident communicator Site experience is advantageous.
