Job Description

  • Awarding Sub-Contract agreements with Sub-Contracts, at this time maximising profit via price betterment/Main Contractor discounts
  • Attending, contributing to and minuting Project Team Meetings
  • Attend and contributing to Clients’ site meetings
  • Preparing Interim Valuations with Client’s Surveyor and agreeing amounts for payment
  • Paying Sub-Contractors appropriate monthly payments and informing of variations (when relevant)
  • Re-measuring work using site measurement, measurement from drawings, information from Site Agents/Bonus Department
  • Provision of cost advice to Design Consultants
  • Reporting to Commercial Manager on job performance via cost/value comparisons
  • Preparing Cash Flow Forecasts & Surveying Reports
  • Pricing insurance claims
  • Agreeing Sub-Contractor Final Accounts
  • Agreeing Contract Final Account with Clients’ Surveyors
  • Ensuring that retention monies/additional monies are released and correspondence is documented

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent Quantity Surveying experience within a relevant sector in the Construction industry A member of the RICS (Desirable)
