Job Description

Responsible for a wide range of support activities including performing review of commercial contracts, legal research, providing advice, ensuring legal compliance on matters that relate to key job accountabilities, drafting and/or reviewing contracts and legal documents, and assisting with projects. Exercises independent judgment and uses creativity and problem solving skills in assisting internal and external customers, providing project support and handling other assigned matters.

  • Review and draft contracts to reflect standard positions or acceptable alternatives per company policies or attorney direction.
  • Proficient in U.K. law, its practical application and its development; experience of international transactions.
  • Assist Lawyer’s and extended in-house legal team by providing thorough and detailed support for contractual negotiations, disputes, risk management projects, development initiatives, and broader legal matters; this support may include ownership of project milestones, file management, investigations and docketing, and document review.
  • Communication and reinforcement of contractual requirements to the customer focus team using system documents and presentation support.
  • Provide an outstanding customer experience to internal and external customers by providing effective guidance and solutions, listening, delivering on commitments, seeking opportunities to learn and teach, and being respectful and passionate.
  • Proactively conduct research in legal areas pertinent to the team's current area(s) of focus; conduct analysis and draft memos and other documents as necessary.
  • Take an active leadership role in process and system ownership, including disputes, investigations, ethics and compliance, personal data security, contract management system and tools, and maintenance of Plexus’ corporate entities management.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Continuous Improvement: Strategically partner with leaders, the go to market team and others in order to complete tasks, assessments and improvement activities targeted improving process efficiency across the team; self-driven execution of improvement activities as required. Self-aware, diligent and with an eye for detail. Special Projects: As required, provide Lawyer support for special projects and strategic transactions by conducting research, drafting documents, and taking ownership as assigned of steps required for successful completion. Individual Development: Continuously builds skills through personal and professional development, including formal continuing education, professional development, accreditation and informal review of capabilities, both internal and external. Travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 10%). Additional duties as assigned. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or appropriate legal qualification is required. A minimum of three (3) years of related PQE is required; of which one (1) or more years of related experience in practice is preferred. An equivalent combination of education, professional accreditation and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.Proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications. Able to support negotiations and identification of solutions for effective closure. Aware of the international context and implications of commercial agreements. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all department, company, customer and other third party information. Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to build the relationships necessary for functioning efficiently within a matrix environment and working effectively with a diverse team. Demonstrated critical thinking and self-evaluation skills; able to solve problems and make decisions within a framework. Ability to effectively manage stakeholders and customers with a wide variety of interests and in adherence to corporate policies and practices. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, for a variety of technical, non-technical and senior audiences. Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task; specifically, must be able to manage multiple detailed project timelines and deliverables. Experience manufacturing technology and improvement is desirable. Foreign language skills are desirable. General office skills and experience.
