Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Management Accountant to join our Energy team. We've had year on year growth and due to this expansion we are now hiring this role, reporting directly into our Financial Controller. You will have responsibility for reporting and be given high levels of responsibility from the word go, it is important that you have the motivation to grow with a business and be part of a senior leadership team in the long term.

What you'll do

• You will ensure preparation of monthly management accounts for 2 - 6 entities
• You will ensure preparation and posting of month end journals
• You will have responsibility for accruals and prepayments
• You will ensure preparation of account reconciliations
• You will have responsibility for profit & Loss and Balance sheet preparation
• You will have responsibility for VAT reporting
• You will assist with updating, improving and implementing procedures for the finance team
• You will partner with stakeholders and liaise with our Finance Business Partner to provide analysis when required
• Other support to the finance department as required

What you'll need

• To have a degree, first class academics
• To be a Qualified Accountant ACA/CIMA/ACCA
• To have excellent excel skills and ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely
• To have an adaptable mindset and the ability to grow with the business
• To have experience of management accounting and reporting within a demanding, high growth business is preferred
• To be able to demonstrate a high level of awareness of the commercial implications of trends within the financial data and the impact on a business
• Exposure within the renewable energy sector would be beneficial but not essential
