Job Description

At the beginning of a project, a company Designer has the experience to estimate their own design tasks, and work with a more senior colleague to plan a design approach that delivers the biggest impact possible within the project’s timeline and overall budget. They evaluate the intended business outcomes and break down the work into manageable chunks of design activities for themselves.

A UX Designer uses analytics, design research & other insight to inform and validate their design solutions. They are able to rationalize their own work in such a way to influence internal stakeholders to gain buy-in, and relevant approvals. A UX Designer also assesses design solutions post-launch to evidence impact.

A UX Designer plays an active role in the culture and practice of the design team and proactively contributes to the evolution of our design practice.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

UX or Service design and the production of design artefacts including wire framing, interactive prototyping, usability, information architecture, journey mapping. Understanding of front-end/UI technical development, and Agile software development life cycle. Analyzing and drawing relevant insights from data, design research, existing best practice, usability testing and optimization to inform design solutions. Working with a range of stakeholders to communicate and validate design solutions. Defining a design approach with support from senior colleagues. Planning personal capacity and managing workload to avoid project conflicts. Degree in relevant field such as Human Computer Interaction, Product Design, Service Design, and Behavioral Psychology. Commercial experience in a UX Design role with a strong emphasis on designing experiences that are visually engaging, while addressing customer and business needs
