Job Description

What we're looking for:

We are growing our finance teams to increase our capabilities and ensuring we can deliver now and in the future. We are going through a major finance transformation programme, and we are also are preparing ourselves for IFRS 17.

We are looking for multiple skilled technical accountants to join our finance functions - the common denominators being a reporting and solution focus, and we are ideally looking for good technical experience within the insurance sector.

Who you'll be working with:

You'll play an important role in a team of professional qualified accountants managing relationships with relevant partners across the division and Group finance.

We are still scoping out the team structure, but you are likely to report into a senior technical accountant as part of Stuart Reilly's, Accounting and Regulatory Developments team.

What you will be doing:

Depending on your background and main skillset you are likely to manage changes in the Group reporting requirements and delivering effective operational improvements, or work work across one of our programme workstreams or on our IFRS 17 programme itself.

You'll need to understand key technical accounting issues and their implications for data, systems, financial statements and associated business management information.

We need to you have:

• Enthusiasm around change and a pragmatic approach to problem solving
• Exposure to regulatory reporting such as Solvency II
• Be able to work collaboratively with people from other teams and units across the group to ensure the appropriate solutions are achieved.
