The Role

We have an opportunity for an Engineer to join our Applied Science Practice. This position will work on solutions to problems of national and international importance. We are interested in candidates with experience in FEA, CFD or other numerical analysis methods and a willingness to develop those skills.

This role would suit candidates with up to 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

· Performance of advanced numerical analysis in engineering problems including solid/fluid dynamics, material science and structural analysis.

· Development and optimization of analysis tools, workflows and numerical solvers.

· Support in the development of engineering reports and presentations for clients.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team. · Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Minimum of Bachelor's degree level in Engineering or Physical Sciences. Experience with a scripting language (Python, MATLAB or similar) is essential. Additional programming skills such as FORTRAN, C and related development environments would be advantageous. Experience with Linux operating system and CAD software would also be of benefit.
