Job Description

Our client, a global Investment firm are looking for a Senior Accountant / Finance Manager. The successful candidate will report directly to the VP of Finance and play a crucial role in success of the business.

As Senior Accountant / Finance Manager you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to the finance function particularly;

• Business partnering across the Group to provide commercial insight on behalf of finance
• Ensuring strong corporate governance
• Ensuring development of the finance team
• Ensuring management team has a strong understanding of their impact on critical financial performance measures
• Work closely with the VP, Finance to deliver budget and strategy.
• To provide insight into financial performance and support the GM in communicating on financial performance and forecasts.
• Manage capital appropriations to ensure that capital expenditures are budgeted, properly authorised, spend is controlled and to confirm value delivered from projects.
• Ensure that financial systems, controls, delegated authorities and reporting to comply with all rules and regulations and comply with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure full compliance with all tax and duty regimes & support compliance with regulations legislation.

Experience & Qualifications

• Proven track record in finance/audit in a financial institution - Fully Qualified Accountant
• Background in financial control
• Knowledge of the investment industry
• Good knowledge of IFRS
• Familiar with tax filing and reporting
• Previous experience as a senior member of a regional leadership team.
• Excellent knowledge of local and regional accountancy practices and regulatory environment
