Job Description

In this role, you will be identifying and leading projects to address the company’s top challenges and enable sustainable, scalable growth. As an imbedded resource to several teams, you will be the go-to person to help implement, promote, and set the standard on how we do business process innovation. You will promote, demonstrate, and authentically communicate the benefits and applications of BPI. This multifaceted role demands interaction with a variety of stakeholders from VPs to individual contributors. To be successful in this role, you'll have a passion for details, strong presentation skills, the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, and enjoy a fast-moving organization. You’ll possess a natural collaborative nature while maintaining a logical outlook for execution.

  • Promote and strengthen processes and controls by working with leadership to identify, develop, implement, and monitor the effectiveness of process improvement projects.
  • Lead cross-functional working groups to improve business processes by studying current practices and proposing modifications, taking an end-to-end perspective with a focus on improved service, operational excellence, and increased customer satisfaction.
  • Quantitatively determine and track expected productivity improvement and savings from BPI events, and tie savings to P&L.
  • Visualize as-is and to-be business processes and process performance and assist business teams to develop a clear understanding of process change impacts with adoption approaches.
  • Direct a variety of type and scale of improvement projects, simultaneously as needed, ensuring all projects are managed using established BPI process.
  • Identify opportunities to deploy automation technologies (RPA) as part of delivering improvement projects, and actively champion RPA within the region.
  • Consult with key stakeholders to identify success criteria for the identified projects. Work with the appropriate benefiting parties to establish ongoing measurement and reporting of results.
  • Actively champion business process improvement throughout the enterprise, and contribute to the growth of BPI and Operational Excellence across Dexcom globally.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once, last minute requests and quick turnarounds with a positive attitude
  • Demonstrated the ability to resolve problems and present appropriate business solutions and recommendations; ability to make quality, independent decisions
  • Train and educate the organization. Implement continuous improvement methodologies including, but not limited to Six Sigma, 5S, Lean Principles and others.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must have Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt Certification (or equivalent). Minimum of 6-9years of proven relevant Business Process experience in leading business process improvement, use of methodology and project management. Proficient in data collection and analysis, value stream mapping, process capability, analysis, financial impact, root-cause identification, etc. Ability to adapt strategy and approach based on changing business priorities. Ability to collaborate and partner with various leadership and SMEs across the organization. Ability to work in a dynamic environment while transforming incomplete business needs into well-defined business/functional requirements in order to institute BPI. Strong communication, collaboration, facilitation, and influencing skills with ability to interface across services functional areas and business operations at all levels of the organization. Strong quantitative, analytical and critical thinking skills with demonstrated use of data analysis and metrics to drive decision making and continuous improvement. Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and presentation skills. Conduct other duties as assigned. Certification (e.g. Agile/Scrum, PMP, CPM, Prince II) in addition to Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Preferably with some prior experience in Sales, Marketing, Go To Market, and/or Customer Experience programs. Experience with automation and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) strongly preferred. Life science or medical device industry experience preferred. Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) or higher degree in a relevant field. Travel to locations across the region may be required periodically to fulfil project duties (up to 25% of time).
