Job Description

The Assessment Planning Lead role is a key senior member of the Assessment and Quality Team and will work closely with the Assessment & Quality Lead and the Head of Operations to plan and execute the delivery of modern assessment experiences meeting the needs of Students and Firms.

This role is responsible for planning activities in the Assessment Team and for ensuring successful delivery of student Assessments (Final Exams and Mock Exams). The role will involve liaising with the ICAS channels team, IT and Learning to ensure that key deliverables are successfully achieved on time. The role will deputies for the Assessment and Quality Lead where applicable.

In addition, cross skilling and driving customer experience objectives across the team will be a primary objective as well as influencing key stakeholders across the business to drive positive change enabling our culture of continual improvement.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Planning of team activities using project management techniques
  • Ensuring the successful delivery of all ICAS Learning Assessments and Results
  • Collaborating with the Learning Centre in the creation of Assessments
  • Provisioning reporting to ensure improvement and standards are met
  • Documenting and keeping Assessment processes up to date & ensuring processes are followed
  • Driving efficiency and consistency of the process to ensure a high-quality customer experience
  • Developing effective and scalable policies and procedures
  • Identifying & implementing process improvements working with the Assessments and Quality Lead and Head of Operations to implement these
  • Understanding the SLA requirements across ICAS in relation to Assessments and support the Assessment and Quality lead to drive the team to meet and or exceed these
  • Support shaping the experience ICAS customers want and know our customers through conversations and behaviors – with particular emphasis on students and firms
  • Collaborating with customers and key members of ICAS teams to define the end to end customer experience journey
  • Developing Assessments KPIs and monitor / report to Assessments and Quality Lead and the Head of Operations
  • Developing effective and scalable policies and procedures
  • Driving a culture of data driven decision making and encourage a questioning behavior of the team - develop monitoring of team activity
  • Lead and drive standards of excellence in all operations

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ideally, we are looking for an accomplished project planner and manager who has worked within education and Assessments. Someone who understands the student/candidate relationship well and has been responsible for planning team activity, execution and assisting in implementing improvements in all aspects to deliver excellent, high quality digital Assessments to all ICAS students and Authorized Training Officers. Experience in the sector is preferred but not essential but good project management and planning skills coupled with exceptional organizational skills with a delivery mindset are essential to success. This role is fast paced, multi-dimensional and demanding. With exceptional organizational skills, planning and project management should be second nature to you, as is your ability to juggle numerous requirements and deliver these on time, with our students welfare at the forefront of everything you do. We have an emphasis on Lean Agile methodology and significant change is required to establish and deliver a customer centric culture of continuous improvement. As we are working in this new digital environment, it would be of benefit that you are familiar with working within the digital arena and the technology we use should therefore not be a barrier to your success. ICAS operates within a structured and regulated environment therefore attention to detail and adherence to these regulations is essential. You will have a sharp, critical eye which enables you to clearly and easily analyse data/information and spot any anomalies, and report these appropriately to agree the best course of action. You should be a great communicator, team player and relationship builder, yet can work independently where necessary and get the job done. Proven track record in project management and planning – ideally within Agile. Understanding of the Quality Framework. Delivery of multiple key objectives on time and within budget. Education & Assessment Management knowledge. Demonstrable leadership driving positive support culture and change programmes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external and tailor communication accordingly. SLA management and negotiation skills. Adept at understanding technology as a solution.Proven track record in project management and planning – ideally within Agile. Understanding of the Quality Framework. Delivery of multiple key objectives on time and within budget. Education & Assessment Management knowledge.
